“Everyone is so nice and very caring. I don’t have to wait to get in and see a doctor. They take the time to explain everything and don’t rush you. They are very compassionate I actually like going to see a doctor now. This clinic is the best.”

WE FOCUS ON MEMBERS, NOT NUMBERS

Empower360 provides Direct Primary Care serving Western and Central Pennsylvania including Cheswick, Altoona, and Johnstown. That means you deal directly with your medical provider so there’s no wasteful insurance bureaucracy to drive up costs, and we pass the savings directly on to you. We do that through lower monthly costs and NO EXTRA CHARGES - No co-pays, no deductibles, no thick envelopes full of paperwork.

As a Direct Primary Care provider, we don’t take insurance, so our focus is on you and your healthcare needs – not on the type of insurance you have. Our doctors don’t have to fill out cumbersome insurance paperwork, so they get to spend more time with you. Plus you don’t have to worry about high deductibles or expensive co-pays. Your membership covers unlimited wellness and preventive care, injury care, treatment for acute and chronic medical conditions, and X-rays and lab work.

Everyone is accepted and there are also no restrictions based on income or pre-existing conditions. We’re always accepting new members, including small businesses and those enrolled in UPMC for You.

A Note on Our Response to COVID-19

Dear Empower360 patients, clients and staff,

We at Empower360 are closely following the daily changes in information concerning Coronavirus Disease.  Please call with any concerns and follow updates via the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) link:  www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.  Our risk of infection with the novel Coronavirus is still low in our area but this may change.

Current recommendations for reducing the risk of spreading any viral illness include getting a flu shot, staying home if you are sick and calling your doctor for advice if you have flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, diarrhea, aching muscles).  Regular hand-washing with soap and water or alcohol-based cleaners, covering your nose and mouth with tissue or crook of your arm when coughing or sneezing and cleaning frequently touched surfaces especially if someone is ill in your home are additional measures to reduce the risk of spreading viral illness.

The new Coronavirus illness is now called COVID-19.  The illness is caused by a virus, now called SARS-CoV-2.  Person-to-person spread of COVID-19 appears to occur mainly by respiratory transmission.  Airborne droplets expelled during a sneeze or cough are then inhaled.  Alternatively, droplets landing on a surface are touched and introduced by then touching eyes, nose or mouth. The incubation period, the length of time from a person’s exposure to when symptoms arise, can be 2-14 days.  Persons who are infected but are without symptoms may be able to spread the virus.  The main symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough and breathing problems.  COVID-19 is a fairly minor illness in most cases but it can progress to a fatal illness, especially in elders and those with other chronic health conditions.

No specific medication or vaccine for COVID-19 is yet available but both are being pursued.  The testing for diagnosing the illness is currently being done by the CDC through local and state health departments. Healthcare professionals who believe a patient requires testing for COVID-19 are required to contact their state health department and will be guided on next steps.  In general it is recommended that if you develop flu-like symptoms that you should stay home, try to avoid contact with other family members and call your doctor with any concerns.

We at Empower360 are dedicated to taking care of you.  We are aware of how stressful the media reports can be. Please call us with your concerns.
